Verizon sent me an email on Notice of Claim of Copyright Infringement??? HELPPpp?

verizon sent me an email and i wanted to know if it was becasue i pressed copy and paste on the movie so i could give it to my brother so he could watch it because it downloads faster on my mac....i download the new harry potter movie from pirate bay and i never used that website so i was wondering if i still would be safe if i used the sites that come with vuze like miniova, btjunkie.org and i really need to know if copyin and pastin the video that youve downloaded is the cause of why they sent me an email PLEASeee hellp me ..im only on level one but i want to download movies for free
