What s wrong with my router?

im using a dlink di-704p,connected to a modem provided by the ISP company aand the router is also connected to a thingamajig tht says ethernet bla3 and has lots of holes in it.so,it was working perfectly well until,i reset the router and ran the wizard after opening http//192.168.0.1. after tht the whole thing stopped working but the connectivity icon shows 100mbps? what did i do wrong!
