When applying for Uninsured Motorist coverage, should bodily injury be more than or less than property damage?
Uninsured/Underinsured motorist coverage should match your liability limits (in my state the uninsured motorist property damage limit is only $10,000 and that is all that is available). Your liability limits should be as high as possible (I always recommend $500,000). Remember UM/UIM is coverage for YOU if you were injured in an accident where the other driver was at fault and either had no coverage (a stolen vehicle falls into this category) or had low limits. It is a cheap coverage, get the best you can get.
