Why didn't the Army pay off all of my student loans?

I enrolled in the Student Loan Repayment through the Army, and I've served for the last three years. I'm on my second deployment to Iraq. I've never been flagged or had UCMJ action. Today I looked online and my final student loan repayment from the Army finally went through. Well I was married once before, and my husband then had the same issue, the same time of the year he got really cranky , UGH he was down right nasty. It turned out later after we were divorced that his parents had a very rough divorce the same time many years before that. We did manage to get one or two counseling sessions in before we divorced, but I actually found out through my brother who married my ex's sister. HE had the same problem, they are divorced to now. How long after an honorable discharge can one re-join the Navy without having to go to boot camp again?

My husband got his honorable discharge as a PH, E-5 with recommendation for re-enlistment (RE-1, I believe) in 2006 after 6 years of active duty (it would have been 8 years, but he put in for his early-out two years early because it was offered to him due to his job being overmanned). He has been out for over 4 years now, and due to an impending job loss, wishes to re-join the Navy. He tried to do this in 2009, but while the recruiter said his job and rank was available (though it has apparently been changed from PH to MC), he didn't seem too eager to help him out. Fortunately his job was secure at that time, but now it is not. We have heard everything from "you never have to go through boot camp once you've been through the first time" to "no matter how long you've been out, you have to go through boot camp if you re-join". We seem to remember hearing something about 5 or 6 years being the cut-off for having to go back to boot camp, so if anyone can help us out with that (and possible information about how good his chances would be of getting back in in a timely fashion), that would be fantastic! We do intend on seeing the recruiter next week, just wondering how to best be prepared for the meeting in the mean time.

My 6.5l diesel started "missing" now it has hardly any power at all, any suggestions?

I have a 1999 chevy with a 6.5L diesel motor in it. Just recently I noticed that when I would take off down the road, the vehicle would jerk from time to time(two days ago). Today I went to start it up and it started hard. I took off down the road and could barely get it to go 55, it also took forever to get it up to that speed. When I got back home, I shut it off and restarted it. This time the motor started more easily, so I took it back out on the road. It had it's power back but the motor was sputtering again. Any suggestions? I think it might be the fuel filter but not sure. I am new to diesel motors. Thanks again for any suggestions!

I used to get the Blue Screen Of Death months ago but luckily it stopped. However it has started again when windows installed new updates and i restarted my computer. I get BAD_POOL_CALLER and for the first time I've just gotten IQRL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL. On top of all this, before I stopped getting BOSD I had loads of virus', so went on a deleting spree on windows task manager, so whenever i start up my laptop (which I don't do often as i just shut it over) i get this message: Error loading C:\Users\(my username)\AppData\local\temp\ and 4 different codes: qoMffFut.dll, bmrdhxbn.dll, bwjodncq.dll and pmnllJDt.dll, and the title on each of these boxes is RunDll, which I have been told is something to do with the internet?? Is the fact that our 5 mo old son is behind on his immunizations going to get us in trouble with DHS/CPS?

My wife and I were surprised with a random visit by a Department of Human Services social worker tonight. The social worker said someone called in and complained about how well we take care of our five month old. He had no problems with anything after the interview; except that our son is behind on vaccinations due to our moving to a new state and having to change Medicaid to the new state. My question: is DHS likely to make an issue of this? All the social worker told us is that we're to get the immunizations up to date by the end of the week and then call him afterwards to let him know. We have no problems or ethical issues with getting baby immunized, just got a little behind on paperwork during the move.

My 5 year old son has "dyslexia". How am I going to correct this?

I am dyslexic and two of my three daughters are but no one was diagnosed that early because it's common up until about the end of the second grade for them to switch letters that look alike b's for d's p's for q's. Don't worry about it unless it continues past the end of the second grade. Age five is really to young to have a true diagnoses. Wait and don't push the issue yet, you will only make him move nervous and make it worse. Take it from me it runs in my family there are about 15 of us with dyslexia and other learning disabilities. Relax give him time to learn how to properly form the letters and don't get so upset this early you'll get you self upset and it might not be what you think.

The approval for abortion is one I agree with because most of the people who go for abortion can't raise the child, so they decide to kill it instead of torturing it while it is an infant because the mother can't afford to feed it. The same goes for euthanasia. Torture is far worse than murder because you cannot feel pain when you're dead. The main difference between modern day US and the Nazis is that the US's stance on abortion and euthanasia is to reduce the amount of pain felt by the one affected, not increase it.

Often I worry if one day we will deplete the world of all its resources. It never ceases to amaze me how much we consume in America. What's more unsettling is how so few of us recycle. Since there are 300 million of us, why don't we make things out of one another after we die. I'm positive we can produce things out of hair. Who says you can't comb the earth for more resources? It may be a hairy situation, but I'm sure it can be brushed over. Why not put more teeth into new technology? It's certainly worth chewing on. My Clingy and Vindictive Siamese....any others out there????

Those Siamese are smart and feisty and can be pain in the s sometimes...mine isn't nearly as as yours but she has a mind of her own (if she can find a way into our bathroom, she goes in, goes beneath the sink into the cabinet where we keep all our rolls of toilet paper and starts destroying all the toilet paper, just for the fun of it!) I love her despite all the crap she pulls, though. We have another cat (not Siamese) who is just neurotic as all get out. We've had some success in getting her to calm down by giving her "Rescue Remedy" (it's an herbal tincture that vet's say you can give to animals..People also use it to relieve mild anxiety)...google it and buy some. Good luck! I also discipline my cats with a squirt gun or a squirt bottle..they don't like being sprayed. Sometimes all I have to do is aim the thing at them and they stop doing the bad behavior. There was this boy that I really liked. I think he liked me too, because he would always find time to talk to me in cl, and walk with me in the hallways (even if he had to head the opposite direction). Also, he friend requested me on facebook and started up a conversation with me everytime I was online. So, I got up enough courage to ask him out to the movies, and he said yes, and we had a date all set up. The next day, his facebook status said that he was "having girl problems," so I asked him about it, and he just acted like he had no idea what I was talking about. Eventually, after enough prodding, he tol me that he liked me and another girl. So, I told him that I couldn't choose for him, and that if the decision was too hard, he should sleep on it. He said, "if I didn't choose you, could we still be friends?" and then I said "Maybe. It might be too awkward." Well he slept on it, and told me that it wasn't going to work out with us because we were in only one cl together and that he might never see me again when the year is over. I wanted to explain to him that I have a phone number, a facebook, a car, and a house, and that we only lived 15 minutes from each other, but what's the use? He obviously didn't want me anymore. We just said goodbye to each other, and then we never spoke to each other again. After about two months of having known this guy and liking him, he bailed on me, rejected me, and now no longer speaks to me. There was one time where I sent him a facebook message (facebook for this because it is nonthreatening) saying "you know, you don't have to completely avoid me. I'm not angry with you. We can be friends." (I said this because I wanted him to speak to me again). He just acted distant and said "Oh, well, I've been stressed lately. Talk to you later. Bye." And then he didn't talk to me for a whole month. His facebook status said something like "I'm starting over new." And then I figured that he was trying to forget about me. Should I put my dog on an airplane?

I have had to travel with my working dog and she was perfectly fine with the experience but I know other dogs who don't fare so well. One thing you need to understand is that dogs have an ability to feel even the slightest vibration. A plan as well as the air pressure against the plane offers a lot of vibration that can either sooth the dog or upset it. Pets have to be housed with cargo but you can ask to witness the dog being put on the plane. Do not feed or water the dog for at least 12 hours prior to flight or the dog could vomit and without being attended could even choke on their own vomit or dehydrate faster than if you do give the dog water. You can get medication from your vet to calm the dog while in flight but most dogs don't need it. I have had very positive experiences with my dog flying but I do know one person who's kennel got lost. Luckily his service dog was with him on the plane so I would highly recommend that you ask to see the dog be placed on the plane.

Can a college discover unpaid student loans?

My son owes about 10k in student loans which are late yet, he wants to go to another school. Can the school (a trade school) he chooses to attend discover these unpaid loans? I suspect he will not inform the student loan dept. about these debts since he will apply for student aid. I will not ist him with tuition only with housing. The reason I ask is that I read a news article recently that many trade schools do not verify credit because government subsidies often provide these trade schools with enough cash to make it profitable and the 'extra' money they receive from the students are treated as a bonus.

I have HSV and I am wondering if this is normal. I can go a while without having an outbreak, but three months ago I gave birth to twins and during my whole pregnancy, I never had an outbreak until about a month before I was about to have them, of course i delivered by c section because they were both breech, but I never said anything to my doctor about me having and have never been on medication for it, but ever since I had them, it seems as though I have kept on getting blisters down there and it dosen't seem like i've even had a break from it since about a month before they were born. Using a muzzle for my beagle’s night-time nuisance barking?

My beagle is three months old, he sleeps in a crate in my son’s room and he barks ALL. NIGHT. LONG. I have him in training currently with Barkbusters and he has shown so much improvement in his problematic behaviors in only one session so far but I cannot get him to stop his night time barking. He does not respond to my verbal reprimand (Barkbusters teaches us to use the “Bahhh” command along with a training aid that is thrown at his feet – which by the way, does not frighten him like it’s supposed to he just wants to play with it) and he just keeps on keepin’ on. I am exhausted, my son sleeps on the couch and I don’t know what else to do. Yes, I knew that beagles are vocal when I got one so I don’t need to hear people tell me I should have known, I ALSO know that beagles can be trained to NOT bark, I am just not sure what to do in the meantime, especially when my little guy is so non-responsive. We work with him all the time in many areas, we just can’t seem to address this one in a manner in which my beagle boy understands. I don’t want to desensitize him to my reprimands either by doing that all night long. I have tried putting music on, giving him a KONG bone, stuffing a shirt of mine in there for him to smell, taking him outside to go potty, getting angry and still nothing. Herbalists or Nutritionists: Glucomannan w/ other meds/vitamins - how long between doses?

I am prescribed a couple meds (one of which i take in the morning first thing, so no big deal).. I have just added Glucomannan to my herbal list - i would like to know how long i should wait before i take other supplements or prescribed medicines, because it is my understanding that Glucomannan will prevent the absorption of these other medications? Of course I am drinking a lot of water w/ the big G, but the question still remains - I require these other medicines to bring my pain down to a tolerable level (Nonnarcotics), so it is fairly important. The doctor's co-pay is just too expensive to ask him, plus I doubt he'd know what Glucomannan was! I added some to water to see what it did and it turned it to jelly within a minute, so i can see how that would encapsulate it. I am currently taking 3 tablets after i feel the effects of my morning meds for approx 30 minutes, then sprinkling some on any meal i eat afterwards.

These are all pretty easy to figure out by the context of the sentence. You should be able to eliminate at least one or two just by reading the sentence and realizing it wouldn't make sense. Then look up the words that are left. The right answers will be pretty obvious once you see the definitions.

I have a 14 week old miniature jack russell puppy and he is the sweetest thing, acts alot older then he is and very intelligent, he can sit, give paw, lay down and now roll over when told but i am getting increasingy upset with what i feel are just discrimating comments like he's a jack russell and he'll be yappy and snappy and apparantly according to my auntie he also showed aggression from an early age because he growled at himself in the mirror and a 9 week old puppy shouldn't even be growling? FIrst make sure your nails are clean, buff them slightly with a gently white buffer block, then dehydrate by using a non oil polish remover. Add a thin base coat and make sure its dry before applying the first coat of polish. Make sure your first layer of polish is thin too. This will help in the drying process. The second layer can be a little thicker. Make sure you give time in between coats to dry then apply a fast dry top coat sealing the edges of your nails as well. Polish does not last as long on natural nails as they do on an articifial layer or nail. This is because your natural nail is oiler and more plyable. An artifical service does not bend and is a harder surface. A good application and manicure will last a good 10 days on natural nails.

It's hard being apart. I know, my husband is serving his fourth tour in Iraq (not counting the first gulf war). You might not want to hear this, but this is good training for you. All those times my husband went to the field or trained at a different post for weeks or a month or more helped me deal with him being gone now. It was practice you could say. The army life can be hard sometimes. But I can tell you this your marriage will become stronger than ever. Keep yourself busy. Very busy. :) Oh, and also when you get to your first duty station and you are surrounded by other military spouses you will find lots of support. Can a minor visit his father in a Missouri prison if the father is a offender?

I'm a little unclear about the answer to this question as I have found conflicting statements. My husband is in prison at JCCC, but for driving while revoked, not for his offense. He seems fairly certain that our 3 year old son cannot visit him unless he is 18 or older simply because of his prior offense. My oldest would like to visit him as well, but he is only a step-son which I figured would be less agreeable. From what I have found, that relates to the child we had together, is that I can submit a visiting form along with his birth certificate and hope for the best. The prison family handbook mentions children visiting offenders only briefly and merely states that physical contact is usually strictly prohibited, not that they would not be allowed to visit at all. So, I am completely confused. If anyone has some REAL incite or experience in this area it would be appreciated greatly.

I'm a new mom, my daughter is 8 weeks old, she's very colicky, and we desperately need an answer. After 41.5 weeks of pregnancy, I had an emergency c-section with her and was pumped full of anti-biotics beforehand. She has been on Nystatin for a month for thrush. We tried many different formulas (my milk didn't come in) and has been on alimentum for 3 weeks. By the time she was 2 days old she was ping formed/hard stools. The pediatrician has tried her on miralax and lactulose however it did not give good results. He sent us to a pediatric GI doc at Children's Hospital to rule out stenosis and Hirschsprung's. We used infant suppositories until the GI doc told us she would become dependant. However, she could go with that stimulation. He seemed to think that everything was normal and that she just needs to learn to poop on her own. She spits up alot, and doesn't want to eat when she doesn't have a BM. She grunts for hours, and has alot of gas without results. Please help!

First off, cannabis IS illegal in the Netherlands (in contrast to what many ppl might make you believe). The fact is that the police their tolerate it anyway. The idea behind this is that by giving people the ability to smoke marijuana, it will make them crave other more problematic drugs like cocaine and heroin less. Evidently, the practice has worked since the use of "hard drugs" has gone down since cannabis became tolerable. Well, if this practice truly does keep people from using more troublesome drugs, why dont more countries take up this method of tolerating cannabis?

Want to work out my back...but have limited work out equipment, what workouts would help?

Hello. I use to work out a lot for the past 4 years and was in great shape, however, due to a lifestyle change I now workout at home with limited equipment. I want to keep the 10 extra pounds I gained by lack of working out however this among other aspects are hampering my performance on my back exercises, namely pull ups. I know that when I was at the gym I use to do lat-pull downs which really improved the amount of times I can perform pull ups, however Since I am limited to just free weights and a pull up bar that I am installing, I do not have the luxury to put emphasis on my lats like I normally would. I have 300 pounds worth of free weights, weight bench for shoulder and chest presses, 45 pound bar, 17.5 pound EZ curl bar and a set of dumbbells that can go up to 40 pounds each. How and what exercises can I perform to help my lats get to the point where I can perform higher reps when performing pull-ups? I am aiming to build my lats up. Serious responses please, thank you!

Could I have addison's Disease?

Not looking for a Diagnosis, just your opinion, I am seeing a doctor but the appt is 2 months away!!!. I have an autoimmune disease already called Ankylosing Spondilitis. But I had noticed that my fatigue is getting worse and worse. I have always had low BP but it is getting lower. Especially after I got my hip replaced due to my AS. My BP was extremely low and I needed 2 blood transfusions. I am 5ft, but weight only 90lbs, and can't seem to put on the weight. I feel very weak all the time but It thought it was because of my AS. My BP is so low not that I get super dizzy standing or walking. I am from asian desent so I can't tell about the browning of the skin typical of Addison's Disease. I saw a heart specialist and he recommended Florinef with is a typical treatment of Addison's for my very low BP. But could it be Addison's? Do you have AD? If so does these symptoms sound similar????

I have this eerie ability. I can look at someone or someone's pic and be able to tell when they will die. Not the exact day but within five years. Out of 300 people, I have been right 92 percent of the time. I do it by getting a feeling of how strong their life force is. I gauge how strong it is and come up with a number of years they have left to live.

well, i've never gotten to the point that i am able to do anything i like, but i can wake myself up by telling myself it is a dream wake up. (probably bad training for a real emergency) And I've often enough to remember been able to "change channels" from one dream to another and quite regularly but not every time been able to return to a dream after waking.

I'm sorry to say I don't have a straight answer but just ignore the dude above me he's just an advertiser. Maybe your jeans still fit because you didn't put on any weight there. Many peoples weight ends up in their stomach. If you are still very skinny maybe your fat just turned into muscle which I think is heavier than fat. Not sure though. Maybe you just misread the scale the first time you weighed yourself. Hope this helped!
