Do you think he over reacted?

about 6 months ago my husband got really mad at me, he was so mad that i didnt even know him. it all started when i was talking by instant messenger with my engineering partner about some work that our professor had given us to design mechanical tools. so i one day he saw me doing my work and at the same time i was talking to my partner about it and since we are friends we joke and my husband read a part that i first said " where is your wife?" since i am friends with her and stuff and he said "she sleeping" i said "oh thats why you dont what to be loud" and he said "nah she is scared of me she knows i will put it in her ***" and i said "lol , yoo you keep talking like that you starting to scare me" and that was the end of the joke the rest was work. once mu hubby read that he thought i was cheating on him and all that stuff even if the joke was about my friends wife and he saw that he never flirt with me or nothing so my hubby was so mad that he looked like he was about to cry. i understand for him to be mad but to me he over reacted cuz he took our sons pport and he said he was leaving me and all thins stuff. i mean he truned it to someone i didnt know and we have been married for 7 years. we never had trouble and this was a first. i am not stupid to cheat on him , if it wasnt for him i would be getting my aerospace engineering degree. i think he acted like that cuz he didnt want to get played again like his ex wife did, he said thats how it all starts. i am 22 now and this happen when i was 21, but i get mad when i think about it because of everything we been through he didnt take time to think. everythin gis fine after he calmed down after 2 days and i told him he should never act like that again cuz he knows i dont just say i love him, i show him after everything we have been through just to be with him which is a long story.
