Please answer if you're religious.. WHY DO YOU CHOOSE RELIGION IN THE NAME OF GOD?WHY NOT CHOOSE GOD?

I've got an even better one for ya. Why not choose goodness, peace, and love instead of god. No one can argue that those virtues exist, we have all experienced them at one point or another. As for god or religion, their existence can be disputed, so what good are they?
