Hannibal the movie .?

I loved Julianne Moore's take on Clarice. She took it and made it hers,not easy to follow another actress in such a disitntctly defined role. But he end was a cheat and I'm not sure why they made that chioce unless they were leaving the door open of another film. There was something about the way the book ending that was dreamlike and so utterly creepy,it would have played great on screen. Why do people not want to see any more? Some think that the story has run it's course,including Anthiny Hopkins,who had to be talked into the 3rd go round. Besides, there is such a thing a overkill)no pun intended)
